- What is your favourite Vacation destination, How would you plan it ?
Mrs India Finalist: Ummmm…. Paris !!! I don’t know how but I plan to celebrate my 40th birthday in Paris. Might look unrealistic now considering its around the corner but the Universe has mysterious ways of making things work. So yesss! Keeping my fingers crossed.
- If you can bring awareness about one Cause in the Society what that could be and Why?
Mrs India Finalist: Being a Single Mom myself I would like to bring awareness that it is not by choice but by circumstances that one gets that title. We are not an object of gossip, sympathy, or exploitation. Sadly our society still looks at Single Moms and children from broken homes as a victim and would go to any extent to create guilt, self doubt, self pity. We are made to believe that there is no good thing ever going to happen for us. We are sort of doomed cause then the question arises ( if you ever want to re settle) who will accept you with kids? Keep the kids in the boarding school and get married or look for someone who is older to you and has children and is a widower or a divorcee. My question is why ??? Why society puts that limitation? Why cant we find true love? Why is it difficult for us to be accepted as just the way we are? Why are we being told to compromise? I would like to reach out to all those women who are going thru this similar phase that it is “ OK to be not OK at times. And that it takes a lot of courage to step out of a marriage that is costing you your self respect, peace, mental well being, kids future. Etc etc My appeal to all those women are that stop being a victim of circumstances and take charge of your own life cause I have been there and have done that and trust me it NEVER helps !!!! So please Stop waiting for some Prince in shining Armour to come to your rescue, get up and rescue yourself. We are one of those lucky ones that has gotten this opportunity to re-do our lives the way we want it. So rise and shine and remember this “ SHE NEEDED A HERO ….. SO THATS WHAT SHE BECAME!!!
- What is Your Favourite Dish you love to relish anytime?
Mrs India Finalist: A chinese heritage in my bloodline all I can ever dream of is SOUP!!!! Anytime of the day I can have it. Topping the charts would be a chinese delicacy called Fish Ball Soup. Its like my life depends on it (ROFL)
- If you can eradicate one issue of the society what that could be?
Mrs India Finalist: Old Age Home: Parents are our driving force. We are everything we are today because of our parents. Not one family we can say is perfect, we all have our quirks, shortcomings, drawbacks but its these flaws in us that makes us unique so why do we feel it a burden when our parents act quirky as they are growing old and dispose them off to Old Age Homes? Parents at times do get difficult considering the communication gap and generation gap but that does not give the right to any children to head to the old age home and sort out the problem once and for all. It is really heart breaking when you visit such places and meet such people, some wouldn’t even know why they are there, some think its a temporary thing, some feels cheated and abandoned. As a parent myself I have understood what it takes to raise children and no matter how much my mom and me agrees to disagree I still love her and my dad who has been my pillar of strength thru all my crisis that I am grateful to them and I thank God that I am blessed to have them.
- What is the Mantra of your Life?
Mrs India Finalist: She needed a Hero …. So that’s what SHE became!!!
- One New thing that You want to learn
Mrs India Finalist: I want to learn Belly dancing and Bachata and it is my dream to some day perform in front of a big audience.
